This is a French-made MAB (Manufacture d'Armes de Bayonne) Model D pistol, chambered in 7.65mm Browning (.32 ACP), roll-marked "Pistolet Automatique Cal. 7.65, MAB Brevete Modele D." The Model D was developed from the smaller MAB Model C and inspired by the Browning FN 1910/1922 design, seeing service with French police, military, and government agencies from the 1930s onward. This example features custom slide engraving reading "Luke McNeece" in ornate script, giving it a personalized, one-of-a-kind touch not found on standard-issue examples.

The pistol retains its blued finish with visible honest wear consistent with age, a single-action blowback design, a 1911-style magazine release (rather than the more common European heel release), a manual thumb safety/slide lock, and a grip safety. A lanyard ring is present at the base of the grip, a classic touch on military and police-issue sidearms of this era.
